Communications Hub Capabilities

A host communication hub running networking applications that enable communications between ALC (Airline Control) clients and host applications, and between ALC hosts. These host systems include RES TPF and AIR4 system and external ALC hosts (at partners such as Sabre, Amadeus, and Galileo).

eCommerce Applications

Provides web and mobile applications allowing customers the ability to shop and book inventory. Customers are also enabled to check flight status and to change itineraries, receive notifications via e‐mail and text, and perform airport check-in for their flights. Also, provides customers access to their award miles for utilization. eCommerce includes the application layers for .com, mobile web, and mobile apps.

Operational Data and Events

Booking EDS is a member of the Operational Data and Events family of services that receives key business events for the Booking domain from Deltamatic, which is the branded name of the industry specific Delta suite of software applications. These events are filtered for passenger PNR, Ticket, Standby, BCN, and Manifest data and made available for SOA Services and other data consumers.

 

Flight Enterprise Data Store receives key business events for the Flight domain from the Reservation application and the Customers Flight Operation system. These events are persisted and made available to SOA services and other data consumers.

Flight Progress Event System (FPES) receives key business events for the Flight domain from the Reservation application, and the Customers Flight Operation systems. These events are persisted and made available to SOA services and other data consumers.

 

Inventory Enterprise Data Store receives key business events for Inventory domain from the Reservation application and other sources. These events are persisted and made available to SOA services and other data consumers.

 

Passenger Information Delivery System (PIDS) receives key business events for the Booking domain from the Reservation application. These events are filtered for PNR updates and published to registered distributed operational applications.

Enterprise SOA

SOA Services provide sets of shared services as a common interface to AIR4 data stores to allow the creation, read, deletion and update of data in support of booking, ticketing, loyalty, inventory, baggage, and awards shopping.

 

 

Online Check‐In

Application for Online and Mobile self‐service check‐in allows passengers to check‐in for their flights from an internet browser and provide them with an electronic boarding pass, baggage processing, and ancillary payments.

Kiosk Check‐In

Application allowing self‐service check‐in of passengers at self-service kiosk devices at airport terminals, providing them with a boarding pass, baggage processing, and ancillary payments. The application also supports Virtual Assist Kiosks that enables IROP passengers to view/change seats, view and change to alternate flights and process check‐in without agent intervention.

Call Center Applications

Reservation agents use the call center application to generate revenue, sell, reissue tickets, rebook flights for IROPs, and provide help for customer travel needs.

Airport Agent Applications

Departure Control Management Application for Gate, Lobby, and Curb used to facilitate airport customer service transactions between agents and passengers. The system combines Curbside, Bag Drop, Lobby, Lounge, Gate, Service Recovery, Back Office, and Baggage Service Office applications into a single platform for a streamlined experience for airport agents.

Passenger Vetting

Provides government messaging of passenger & crew information. It provides secure messaging and archive of messages exchanged with the United States Department of Homeland Security (Secure Flight Program) and Customer and Border Protection (API Program) agencies, the APP Message Exchange Archive used by South Africa and Australia, the Korea Message Exchange Archive, the PNRGOV used by the Canada. The system includes web reporting as well.

Reservations

Host portion of the AIR4 Passenger Service System providing core airline reservations capabilities including the flight schedule and inventory information necessary to allow booking and management of passenger flight reservations.

Reseating Capabilities

A rules engine based re‐seating engine to prioritize and assign seats to be utilized across multiple applications. Enabling seating assignments for entire flights, groups of passengers, individual passengers, or schedule changes based on business rules considering the flight, passenger list, available seats, customer valuation and reseating scenario. The reseating engine provides seating recommendations to the requesting applications based on an optimized scoring result calculated against business rules and reseating parameters.

Flight Cancellation Capabilities

Automated rebooking tool provides solutions for all customers impacted when Irregular Operations as a result of cancelled flights. The application can operate in both an automated or manual mode. It will process whole groups of flights simultaneously, prioritizing customers across multiple origins and destinations.
